medic!/cribs?

dear baseball schedule makers- you stink.

here are pics from our home game the other day that my friend Rob took-my new semi mohawk semi mulletCl_mohawk11 which drew rave reviews from all witnesses

it's really kind of a sick joke to be playing a regular season game out here in orlando, but I guess I don't mind it because we're having nice enough weather.

I didn't believe my eyes but our manager isn't even immune from the rash of injuries that's suddenly become infectious on our team- Ron Washington apparently strained his hamstring when running onto the field to argue a call at second base.  From the bullpen it looked like Laird threw out BJ Upton on a steal attempt but he was called safe.

I don't know if he was safe or out, but we look like we're trying to put together a rubix cube out there on the field, and now we're starting to look like a mash unit with weird injuries popping up.

hopefully the titanium power of phiten (phitenusa.com) keeps me going...

on a lighter note...

I was informed that Sports Illustrated has published a new issue that has a small article and some pictures (hence the illustrated) regarding their visit to the condo Kam Loe and myself own out in Dallas.    hopefully it doesn't look too lame, I didn't get any approval on what they decided to print...

so check that out!

I like it! Listening to the beginnings of the game tonight, I had a hard time figuring out how many of our regular starters were actually, you know, starting. Four? It's like the Yankees' injury sweep has traveled south, except for us it's not just the pitchers; it's everybody. Be careful!

Love the new hair, and continue to enjoy your writing thoroughly... And it's not just the Rangers, it seems as if the injury bug has really bitten a number of teams this year.

I like the new haircut. It works on you!!

The injuries this season are just unbelievable. Be careful, C.J.

Ha, you scared me with the 'semi-mullet' comment, but the hair looks good.

Also, checked out the article on your 'crib', good stuff. You're the Ricky Bobby of guitar? Haha...and K-Loe has Nolan Ryan on his back? Crazy.

I like it. Doesn't your hat kinda smoosh it or is your hair that resiliant? hah. :)

Atleast you guys are done with that series and are back to a real baseball park.

Awesome haircut. You could go even shorter on the sides. Very punk rock. I'm sure Darby Crash would be proud. I was wondering how you thought that stadium in Orlando compared with The Brick in OKC.

I went to the Rays/Rangers series in Orlando; I live in Tallahassee and got to drive there. I think the ballpark was small, but don't forget that there are Rangers fans in Florida too, C.J. This series was designed with the Rays fans in mind, but there were plenty of Texans present also. I tried to get an autograph from someone (anyone) that whole series and it never happened. I would have thought the smaller field would have lent itself to easier access to you guys, but no dice. Your "sick joke of a regular season game in Orlando" was my vacation, and the only time I've ever gotten the chance to watch the Rangers play.

I very much enjoy your blog.

Your blogs crack me up, though it sure is fun keeping tabs on your journey this year. Still not sure about the new do.

just read the article about you and your roommate in SI...and you definately have a new fan...love the hair!!

nice hair! but the orlando think im still wondering about that but they looked like the rays had more fans there than they did at the dome.....also how about blalocks injury??? wow wasnt expecting that nor did the rangers need that...but GO RANGERS!

What issue is the article about you and Kam in?

Hello CJ,

I did read the SI article and the one thing that stood out for me was that you're a Taoist. Just curious how you found that path. Perhaps you might write about it in your blog sometime. I discovered I was one after I read the Tao Te Ching.

All the best,

Mick

nice pic you go there CJ! hope hank is doing better! i'm gonna have to read the article soon. i think i heard tom & josh talking about it the other night. living the hair by the way!!
