this entry works better if you read it out loud in an australian accent

Packing some items are essential while braving the outback here in Arizona.  On my 'safari tour', I will attempt to communicate with natives, brave the cloudless dry days, and prepare for a hunt that our camp has seemed to lose out on the last few years (al west champs in 07 is the plan).   While "teaming up" with other contestants, I tend to steer clear of all watering holes and dining grounds from 4pm to sundown.  Rumor is they have "snow birds" and "early birds" which are a similar species and could potentially get aggressive if motivated by food. Golf carts are a good indicator of their presence.
Locals here seem to fit into a few categories.  Some are spectators who travel to catalogue our actions and collect small scraps of our likenesses.  Others reside here in the desert, enduring triple digit temperatures and endless plates of chain restaraunt food.   Then there are the adventurers like myself, here we train and watch as the calendar gets nearer our hunting season.
Customs differ from major metropolitan areas like Dallas and New York.   Books are a good way to pass time as a general lack of music, original restaraunts and wildlife leaves only golf, video games for recreation within a 30 minute radius.   The safari team shrinks in two weeks, after that we should have more indication of our annual quest for a pennant.

So, we know you play Halo... what about the books? Non-fiction, fiction, mystery, sci-fi, sports, etc?
