Charity Involvement: During the offseason, spends time as Tarrant County (texas) Spokesperson for the D.A.R.E. program emphasizing the benefits of a drug free lifestyle. Currently organizing the construction and improvement of a video game room at Cook's Children's Hospital in Fort Worth via hosting Charity Events around the metroplex aimed at involving young people in the community aid process. Donated one week's salary to the Boys and Girls Club of Fort Worth as well as initiating an additional $10.000 donation from the Texas Rangers Foundation. Participated in the Rangers' Hurricane Katrina relief efforts in September 2005. Amateur Experience: Played in 43 of 44 games at Loyola Marymount in 2001, tying for team RBI lead...also played outfield and pitched 2 seasons for Santa Ana (CA) JC, where he was team MVP and California Player of the Year in 2000...
