Charity Involvement: During the offseason, spends time as Tarrant County (texas) Spokesperson for the D.A.R.E. program emphasizing the benefits of a drug free lifestyle. Currently organizing the construction and improvement of a video game room at Cook's Children's Hospital in Fort Worth via hosting Charity Events around the metroplex aimed at involving young people in the community aid process. Donated one week's salary to the Boys and Girls Club of Fort Worth as well as initiating an additional $10.000 donation from the Texas Rangers Foundation. Participated in the Rangers' Hurricane Katrina relief efforts in September 2005.
